Before you apply
Published admissions policy; confirm your application cycle. Requirements and recommendations below are not class averages.
- Degree & college credits
- 60 credits before application; 90 before entry. Bachelor’s strongly encouraged.
- Prerequisite courses
- Semester credits: biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry and physics with labs 8 each; English 6; biochemistry 3. Use the equivalency review for unclear courses.
- GPA policy
- Undergraduate overall and science GPA of 3.0 required, with an exception after at least 18 completed graduate credits.
- DAT policy
- U.S. or Canadian DAT required; no minimum AA or section score. Preferred scores: current 370 or legacy/CDAT 17. Confirm the accepted test-date window.
- Shadowing
- 75–100 hours described as a reasonable expectation; varied experiences encouraged. Virtual observation considered.
- Recommendation letters
- Committee report or three individual evaluations through AADSAS; neither route receives preference.
