Before you apply
Published admissions policy; confirm your application cycle. Requirements and recommendations below are not class averages.
- Degree & college credits
- At least 60 U.S./Canadian college credits for eligibility.
- Prerequisite courses
- Prerequisites must be within seven years (2019 onward for 2026–27). Required sciences include labs; review biochemistry, microbiology and English rules.
- GPA policy
- Minimum overall and science GPA: 3.0. GPA 3.5+ is described as competitive.
- DAT policy
- Scores within two years. Around 390 per section is a target and around 420 competitive; these are guidance, not guarantees.
- Shadowing
- 100 hours with a non-relative U.S./Canadian general dentist at application. Dental assisting can substitute.
- Recommendation letters
- Two graded-course science faculty evaluations plus a general dentist; qualifying committee letter may replace science letters.
