- Degree & college credits
- 90 credits may qualify; bachelor’s strongly encouraged. No more than 60 community/junior-college credits.
- Prerequisite courses
- Biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry and physics: 8 semester hours each; English: 6. Check biochemistry and lab rules. More than two unfinished prerequisites prevents interview invitation. Grades C or better, normally within ten years; June 30 completion.

- 100 hours with a general dentist required; a specialist may qualify if a general dentist is unavailable.
