FutureDentist stores the profile details, saved schools, application notes, target dates, checklist progress, experiences, letter-writer details, essays, calendar entries, and expense estimates that you choose to enter.
How your account works
Sign-in is provided through Supabase using your email and password or, when enabled, Google. FutureDentist uses your account identifier to keep your workspace separate from other users. Your private planning information is not published automatically.
What is saved
Vercel hosts the website, and Supabase stores your account and workspace so you can return to your work. Data travels over HTTPS on the hosted site. The site operator and hosting provider may have administrative access; avoid storing sensitive identity documents, financial account details, or patient information.
Email and preferences
Resend delivers account confirmation, welcome, password recovery, and account security emails. Optional application guides and product updates require a separate opt-in in My profile. We share your confirmed email address and subscription choice with Resend when you choose these updates. Unsubscribe in your profile or through an email’s preference link. This does not stop essential account emails. Optional daily planner reminders have their own opt-in and unsubscribe controls. Reminder emails link to your calendar without including your essays, grades, or school list.
Delivery events help us spot failed messages and stop optional mail after a permanent bounce or spam complaint. We retain delivery metadata and domain authentication summaries for 90 days. A hashed address stays on our suppression list to avoid sending unwanted mail again. Support replies are forwarded to our monitored support inbox; attachments remain with the email provider for manual review. Email open and click tracking are disabled.
Community and messages
Joining the community creates a public username and stage. Posts and cycle results are public only when you explicitly submit them. Shared scores and outcomes are voluntary and unverified; GPA and DAT scores are stored only as ranges, never exact values. You can share a result anonymously, so readers see no username; moderators can still review it. Messages in the interview tracker’s class chat are public under your username, and links are not allowed. The tracker shows how many people have the chat open without recording who they are, and your browser remembers when you last visited, on your device only, to mark new reports. Before a post, chat message, username, result note, or message-request introduction is saved, its text is checked by OpenAI’s moderation service to keep harassment, hate, and sexual content out; OpenAI says it doesn’t use this text to train models or keep it. Direct messages require an accepted request and are visible to participants; moderators can review reported content. Blocking prevents further messages and hides chat between you. Reports are visible to the reporter and authorized moderators.
Error reporting
Sentry helps us diagnose website errors using technical details such as stack traces, browser versions, and page paths. We disable session recordings and exclude account details, request bodies, cookies, headers, and URL query parameters from these reports.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, remove saved schools and their notes, clear your drafts, or download your planning data. The My profile section includes a complete data export and an option to permanently delete your saved workspace or delete your account after signing in again. Account deletion also removes your community profile, shared results, posts, chat messages, and conversations, including their replies and messages. Infrastructure backups and provider delivery or security logs may persist according to provider retention. Sample workspace changes stay in memory and disappear when you leave or reload. Signing out ends access to your account on that browser; it does not erase saved work.
School information
School names and website links are based on ADEA’s directory. FutureDentist is an independent planning tool and is not affiliated with ADEA, ADA, or the schools listed. It does not submit applications or predict admissions outcomes.
Site analytics
Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies to measure page views and related site activity. The site does not show an analytics opt-in prompt. Google Signals and ad personalization are disabled. Page views omit query-string values except approved campaign labels that identify a link as a Reddit invitation. These labels contain no Reddit usernames. The school-stats comparison runs in your browser; values you enter there are not saved or sent to Google Analytics.
Campaign links also use first-party cookies for up to seven days to count visits and successfully saved interview invites after a visit, including after signup. Campaign records are private and exclude known owner and test activity from reporting. We do not send your report details, school choices, grades, email, or community username to Google Analytics.
